About Ricky Hillson — RewildYourSoul
Hello my friends!
I’m Ricky Hillson, world leader in handpan / RAV and educator, performer, and songwriter behind RewildYourSoul.
Based in New England, I offer online lessons, lead workshops and retreats, and perform at handpan gatherings across the United States.
My work brings together original music, practical teaching, and a belief that everyone can develop their own musical voice.
Learn Through Music
My background in guitar and songwriting shapes my approach to teaching handpan and RAV.
Through song-based lessons, we explore rhythm, melody, technique, and composition together, giving every new skill a musical purpose.
You don’t need a background in music theory to begin. Whether you’re learning your first notes or writing original pieces, lessons are built around your instrument, experience, and goals. I teach beginners through advanced players on handpan, RAV Vast, RAV Moon, and RAV Anima.
Sponsorships & Instrument Makers
I’m proud to be a sponsored RAV Vast artist, sharing these instruments through performances, original compositions, lessons, and demonstrations.
My handpan sponsorships include Handromeda Handpan, Vetra Handpan, SonidoDeMano Handpan, SEW Handpan, and Lidah Handpan. These relationships allow me to explore different instruments and bring that experience into my teaching and music.
Festivals and Live Performances
My performance appearances include major U.S. handpan gatherings, showcases, and retreats such as Steel Mountain, PanMarco, Pantasia, Spirit Voices, PanHarmony, and Lighthouse Handpan Gathering.

I also created PanHarmony, a retreat bringing people together through handpan, RAV, songwriting, group learning, and time outdoors.
Original Music and My Background
My albums include Lux Natura, Lunaria, Wild Spaces, and Old Souls. For Old Souls, I recorded original compositions on vintage handpans, celebrating their individual voices and history. Listen on Spotify.
Beyond handpan and RAV, I play guitar, rubab, flutes, and other acoustic instruments, and create instruments from natural and found materials. My earlier work as an educator, park ranger, and herbalist continues to influence the connection between music, learning, and nature in my life.
