SATURDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2026 1:00 - 4:00 pm EST workshop 4:30 - 5:30 pm EST concert by Ricky Hillson Whether you are a new player, curious about handpan or looking to learn new skills, this 3 hour all-levels workshop followed by a 1 hour concert will leave you enthusiastic for all things Rav and handpan! Learners can expect to acquire new skills, play a short song together and develop their listening and hand-eye coordination. No instruments necessary, but bring yours if you have one - we will have instruments available! Ricky Hillson is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and instrument-maker who is a leader in the world of handpan. With a background in guitar and songwriting, he has studied world music such as rubab and Indian classical music. He teaches handpan, Rav, guitar and ukulele online, performs regularly at handpan festivals and concerts and also teaches handpan workshops and retreats.
